Good news.
After being declined a volunteer opportunity from the Canada-based NGO, CARE, we were able to get a placement with Ugandan-based TASO (The AIDS Support Organization). We don’t know exactly what we’ll be doing with this organization yet, but all is good to go as soon as we write an application letter and pay a “small” international placement fee of $300USD each. It seems to becoming increasingly expensive to volunteer personal time these days.
